This vintage photograph was scanned and restored from an old postcard, date unknown but possibly around 1928. The photograph is labeled "No 2 MAIN STREET SUBLIMITY ORE". Please contact us if you have information about the image. We believe that this is actually looking south on Center Street. Perhaps the name was changed or perhaps the photographer only meant that this was the main street in town, not that it was named "Main Street". The white side wall of a building on the right hand of the street near the crest of the hill appears to be the north side of the old Ditters Store which stood until recently at the the corner of W. Main and Center. The photographer would have been standing near the intersection of Starr and Center, facing south.
