Old Photos and Family Photo Albums
|
|
Krantz and Ahl Family Album -- A series of photos from the old family photo album of Marcus and Theresa (Ahl) Krantz, not necesarily in the order in which they come in the album. There are some portraits of the Ahls and the Krantzes and some wedding portraits. Some are identified , but many are not. They were posted primarily to find out if anyone recognizes them and can identify the people. They could be related to either the Krantz or Ahl family or just good friends. Please take a look and help us if you can.
Schmidt Family Album -- A set of old photos from the Beitel collection, including a portrait of Alois and Cecilia's wedding party, this group centers around the Schmidt/Schmitt and Froemel relatives. They were cousins of Grandmother Cecilia (Schiebel) Beitel, as well as good friends of the Beitel family. They also lived in Humphrey, Nebraska, for a while, then moved to Mt. Angel, Oregon, quite possibly influencing Alois Beitel's decision to move to Oregon.
Allmaras Family Album -- Grandpa Alois Beitel's youngest sister "Mina" or "Minnie", as she was known, married Frank J. Allmaras. This is a series of old photos from their wedding and a couple of the bakeries that they owned in New Rockford, North Dakota.
Main St., Sublimity, OR ca 1928 -- Sublimity, OR is the small western Oregon town near where Elizabeth grew up. This is a vintage postcard with a shot of Main Street that we believe is from about 1928.
School & Family Reunions -- In 2001, the Beitel family held a reunion out on the family farm in Stayton, OR. Here are several pdf files of photos from Day 1 and Day 2, also the group photo of most of the attendees.
In 2003, Oregon State University's Azalea House, where Elizabeth lived while a student at OSU, celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a reunion inviting all who had ever been a part of its grand tradition. A pdf file of photos shows some of the scenes, activities and people from that weekend.
